Harrison Chase built LangChain, the open-source framework that became the default way developers build applications on top of large language models. With over 100,000 GitHub stars, LangChain is one of the most-starred repositories in all of software, and the company behind it reached a $1.25 billion valuation. Beyond LangChain, Harrison built LangSmith for LLM observability and LangGraph for building stateful agent workflows. He's the person who made it practical for developers to go from 'I want to build an AI app' to actually shipping one.
