Mission
AI is everywhere, but the people who are actually pushing it forward are hard to find. They're scattered across X, YouTube, GitHub, and dozens of niche communities. There's no single place to discover who the best AI users really are.
We built TopAIUsers to change that. One directory. Editorially scored. Categorised by what they do, what tools they use, and where they're based. Updated regularly as new people emerge and existing users level up.
This isn't a popularity contest. Follower counts matter, but they're not everything. We look at real impact: published work, open source contributions, community influence, and the quality of what people are actually building with AI.
Scoring Methodology
Every user on TopAIUsers receives a score out of 10, calculated as a weighted average across five dimensions:
- Tool Mastery (20%): How deeply do they use AI tools? Basic prompting is a 3. Building production systems and pushing tools beyond their limits is a 9.
- Community Impact (20%): Followers, engagement, teaching, open source contributions, and community building. A small but deeply engaged audience counts more than vanity metrics.
- Output Quality (25%): The highest-weighted dimension. What have they actually built, shipped, or created with AI? Real products, real revenue, real impact.
- Innovation (20%): Are they doing things nobody else is doing? Creating new workflows, combining tools in novel ways, or pushing the boundaries of what AI can do?
- Influence (15%): Do others follow their lead? Are they cited, referenced, or copied? When they share something, does the community pay attention?
Scores are reviewed and updated periodically. New users are discovered through community nominations, social media monitoring, and editorial research.
